What Peace Looks Like Right Now
June 19, 2026
Peace looks different to me than it used to. I think I once expected peace to feel like everything was resolved, with no unanswered questions, no loose ends, and no tension between what I can see and what I am still waiting to understand.
That is not what peace looks like right now.
Right now, peace looks like early morning light coming through the windows, coffee in hand, music playing softly, and the garden waiting outside. It looks like walking the garden before opening the laptop, saying no to something that does not align with my priorities, and trusting the process a little more than I did yesterday.
It also looks like letting go of the need to control every outcome. That is not passive. It takes practice.
In this season, I am building a business, a home, a steadier foundation, stronger relationships, and a future that reflects the values that matter most to me. Much of that work is happening quietly, and some of it is still beneath the surface.
Peace does not mean I have stopped caring about the outcome. It means I am learning not to force it. I am learning that some things are built through consistency instead of urgency, that growth can be real before it is visible, and that a person can keep moving forward without having every answer.
That is the kind of peace I want more of. It is not the polished kind; it is the steady kind that can exist in a house being lived in, a business being built, a garden that still needs attention, and a life that is still becoming. Peace is not always a finished room.
Sometimes it is one small choice, one quieter morning, one cleared surface, or one faithful step.
With love and intention,
Jennifer
