What I Am Learning About Patience
June 15, 2026
Patience has been one of the harder lessons of this season, not because I do not believe in the vision, but because I do. Sometimes that is what makes patience difficult. When you can see what something could become, it is tempting to want the whole thing to arrive faster than reality can support.
There is the business, the home rhythm, the steadier foundation, the systems, and the growth that still has to happen quietly before anyone else can see it. I am learning that some things cannot be forced. They have to be built one day at a time.
That is not always the lesson I want, but it is the lesson that keeps returning. The garden teaches it. The business teaches it. Home teaches it. Even peace teaches it.
You cannot rush roots. You can tend them. You can water what needs watering. You can pay attention. You can keep showing up. But you cannot demand the harvest before the plant is ready.
I think patience gets misunderstood as passivity, as if being patient means sitting still and waiting for life to change on its own. That is not what this feels like to me. Patience is active.
Patience is continuing to make the next right choice when the outcome is not obvious yet. It is clearing the counter again, checking the garden again, opening the notebook again, and choosing long-term trust over short-term pressure again. It is doing the quiet work before the visible result.
That is where I am right now: building with intention, not rushing, not chasing, and beginning to trust the slower work. Beautiful lives are not usually built in one dramatic moment. They are built by the care we keep giving to what matters.
With love and intention,
Jennifer
