The Next Right Thing
June 30, 2026
At the end of a month, it is tempting to make the next step too complicated. A bigger plan, a longer list, more urgency.
But I am learning that progress often asks for something simpler. The next right thing. Not the whole answer. Not the complete map. Not certainty about every outcome. Just the next faithful step. That has been one of the clearest lessons of this season. I am building a company, a home, a steadier foundation, stronger relationships, and a life that feels aligned with who I am. Those are not small things.
But they are built through small choices. One thoughtful step at a time. The next right thing might be a conversation. It might be improving a system. It might be following up. It might be clearing the counter before sitting down to work. It might be walking the garden before opening the laptop. It might be choosing not to say yes to something that does not align.
It might be resting so you can keep building well. I do not want Botanic to be built from panic or pressure. I want it built from integrity, stewardship, kindness, personal responsibility, and long-term thinking. That means the next right thing matters. Culture is not built only in big declarations. It is built in repeated choices. As June closes, I am carrying that with me.
Do not overcomplicate progress. Do not force what needs time. Do not confuse urgency with faithfulness. Choose the next right thing. Then choose it again.
With love and intention,
Jennifer
